Standard lamp shades are an easy way to make a house feel homely by accessorising or using accents. If you have a standard lamp in your room, the addition of a lamp shade adds your personal stamp on interior design, gives warmth to your scheme and allows you to either complement your colour scheme or add an accent to it.

All of our standard lamp shades are hand crafted, either here in the UK or imported from abroad. They are of the best quality available anywhere but it’s a good idea to take a good look and ensure that whatever you choose will look great for many years to come. Some large shades are expensive due to the material used or the amount of work involved in crafting it, so taking a little time choosing now is well worth it.

A lovely standard lamp with lampshade fitted can transform a living or dining room as they are a great source of secondary lighting. They can make a room seem brighter or cosier depending on your choice of fabric. A white lining will give a bright directional up and down light whilst a gold lining will give a more sensual effect. Silk shades diffuse the light beautifully and give a soft warm glow.
