Covid-19 update 20th March

12th April 2021

Our showroom is now open for customers and click and collect purchases. We are open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm and from 10.00am – 2.00pm on Saturday.

Reasonable steps are being taken to maintain social distancing and hygiene procedures are in place for all customers and staff. On occasion, we may need to limit the number of customers in the showroom at any one time to ensure that measures are effective. Signs and screens are in place for your protection.

Stock levels remain lower than usual with around 20% of products temporarily out of stock. The stock level changes daily and out of stock products are becoming available as the manufacturing and delivery network recovers. If you would like to reserve a product, please contact us on 0151 650 2138.

23rd February 2021

Plans are now under way to fully reopen our premises on Monday 12th April 2021 following the prime minister’s announcement yesterday. It is unclear if additional restrictions will be put in place and we will monitor the situation in the coming weeks. Further details will be added here should the situation change during this time.

Our office remains staffed and our online shop remains unaffected. Our customer care team are still available on 0151 650 2138 to answer your questions. Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm. Home deliveries and our click and collect service continue as normal.

Home deliveries and our click and collect service are not affected. Deliveries remain as stated on our deliveries page, so you can have your Universal Lighting order delivered to your home, or select click and collect. Click and collect customers will be contacted and given a time slot to collect their purchase. Your purchase will be sanitised and left in a secure foyer for collection at your chosen time.

Our showroom is open again for customers and click and collect purchases. We are open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm and remain closed on Saturday due to staff limitations.

Stock levels are lower than they were, with around 20% of products temporarily out of stock. The stock level changes daily and out of stock products are becoming available as the manufacturing and delivery network recovers. It is possible that these restrictions may change in the future. We continue to monito the situation daily and will update this page if any new information comes to light.

31st October 2020

On Wednesday 14 October, Wirral and other areas across the Liverpool City region was placed into the ‘very high’ alert level of the Government’s new three-tier Covid-19 system. Full details of the restrictions can be found by following this link.

Our showroom continues to be open Monday – Friday and remains closed on Saturdays. Customers and staff are required to wear face masks within the showroom and maintain social distancing. We continue to limit the amount of customers allowed into the showroom at any one time. Stock levels remain good and we are able to supply 80% of our online catalogue within 3 working days.

It is possible that the government will ramp up the restrictions in the near future. We continue to monito the situation daily and will update this page if any new information comes to light.

2nd July 2020

Our showroom is now open Monday – Friday 8.30am to 5pm and remains closed on Saturdays for the time being. 6th June 2020

Our showroom is still closed and telephone customer service remains temporarily closed on Saturdays. A contactless click and collect service is available Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. Click and collect customers can call 0151 650 2138 to book a time slot. Your purchase will be cleaned down and left in a secure foyer for collection at your chosen time.

Our showroom will reopen on Wednesday 1st July 2020. It will open from 8.30am to 5.00pm initially, with a view to reopening on Saturdays when staffing levels allow and it is safe to do so. All reasonable steps will be taken to maintain social distancing and hygiene procedures will be in place for all customers and staff. We may need to limit the number of customers allowed into the showroom at any one time to ensure that these measures are effective.

Our stock levels remain good and we continue to supply the majority of products within a few working days. I will update this article when more information is available or the situation changes. We look forward to welcoming you back into our showroom and wish you all well.

11th May 2020

Our showroom remains temporarily closed to protect you and our staff and telephone customer service remains temporarily closed on Saturdays. Our customer care team can still be contacted on 0151 650 2138 Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm or email customercare@universal-lighting.co.uk thank you.

We continue to provide a reliable online service, stock levels remain good and we continue to supply 95% of our products within seven days. We are now looking at ways that we can reopen fully when the government advise us to do so. It is imperative that we are able to ensure the safety of customers and staff once fully open. I will update this article when more information is available or the situation changes.

We have taken extra measures to secure stock and supply so we can still provide you with a reliable online service. This is a fluid situation that is changing daily but at this time we are able to supply 95% of our products within seven days. We continue to monitor the situation constantly and will update you with any changes to our service here.

Elstead Lighting have today informed us that they are in a position to commence a weekly supply run. All Elstead Lighting, Feiss, Flambeau, Gilded Nola, Hinkley Lighting, Kichler, Norlys, Quoizel and Stiffel will be sent out every Monday and should be with us by Wednesday each week. This means that delivery could take up to ten days to arrive with you after ordering. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued loyalty and support, even during these uncertain times. 24th March 2020

Following governemnt guidance, Elstead Lighting have decided to close from this morning. This will last for at least 3 weeks and could be longer. This means that we are unable to supply Elstead Lighting products in the immediete future. Elstead Lightings decision affects the following brands: Elstead Lighting, Feiss, Flambeau, Gilded Nola, Hinkley Lighting, Kichler, Norlys, Quoizel and Stiffel. We have some stock of each brand in our warehouse for purchase. We have temporarily disabled the ability to buy these brands but may have a particular item in stock. Due to the unfolding situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we’re sad to tell you that we’ll be temporarily closing our showroom from 8.30am on Tuesday 24th March 2020. Our showroom may be closing but our online shop remains operational. Inward and outbound deliveries are currently not affected. Deliveries may take a little longer to arrive but are broadly as stated on our deliveries page. You can have your Universal Lighting order delivered to your home, or select click and collect.

We at Universal Lighting Services take the view that the health and safety of our customers and staff is our first priority. Our staff remain well and we are able to assist you over the telephone and in our showroom. Click and collect purchases and local deliveries are also unaffected.

Our showroom remains open at this stime but we have introduced steps to protect everyone during the epidemic. Customers are required to use the supplied hand sanitiser upon entry and exit from our showroom and you are asked to maintain a distance of at least two-metres from other customers and staff.

We’d like to confirm that our online shopping is unaffected. Inward and outbound deliveries are currently not affected by the coronavirus crisis. You can continue to shop with us and delivery times should be in-line with those stated on our deliveries page.
