Ceramic French Country Kitchen Cookware
This is a new category to complement our country kitchen lighting range. The ceramic kitchenware dishes in this category are hand made by the same company that supplies our French country kitchen lighting range.
We do not intend to stock any of the items shown but it will give you the opportunity to order any kitchen accessory shown here alongside your country kitchen light should you so wish. We have decided to trial our kitchen accessories for a three-month period as a service to our customers to see if it is something that you would like.
We thought long and hard before adding this category as it is the first time we have supplied anything other than light fittings or lighting accessories. We do not pretend to be experts about earthenware cookware, pots or salad bowls, so the information on this page is supplied by the makers and provided in good faith.
Every one of the glazed earthenware casserole dishes and pots within this category are flame safe, oven proof, dishwasher safe and suitable for use in microwave ovens. Over time, your earthenware dish will develop a patina and should last a lifetime by following a few guidelines.
When used on a bare flame of hob you should always start cooking with a low heat, building to the maximum heat gradually to avoid thermal shocks. Similarly, avoid placing a very hot dish directly into water, again to avoid thermal shocks. Avoid complete immersion in water for a prolonged period of time, but wash immediately once cooled sufficiently and ensure that the dish is properly dry before storage.
These earthenware dishes are hand-crafted and hand glazed in France and then given two firings, the first at 1030°c and the second at 960°c for maximum resistance and quality.
Please be aware that these are handmade products and as such may contain minor imperfections such as slight variations in colour. They are the natural consequence of any hand-crafted product and should not be regarded as faults.
This complete range is available to order only. Once ordered, please allow up to four weeks for your order to be made and delivered.
